[The Sorrow - ...and the winner is...]
The secret is disclosed, the winners of the 10th Austrian Music Awards "Amadeus" had been determined. The Who is Who of the Austrian music scene gathered for the celebration at the Vienna Museumsquartier and enjoyed a n extraordinary show. And of course THE SORROW have been there as well. They played a terrific live show and by the end of the day they went home with the award. The four guys from Bregenz were awarded as Best "Hard'n'Heavy" Act, while the complete show was was broadcast live by private channel Puls4.

Sensational! For more than 150.000 sold copies of their single 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' in Germany, LORDI have been awarded 'Gold' by their label Drakkar Entertainment during RTL2's 39th 'THE DOME' in Leipzig (GER) last weekend (pic).
"We are not aware, that there has been a band with a traditional Heavy Metal song and without any noteworthy airplay making it up to 'Gold' in Germany ever before" says label boss Bogdan Kopec. "Surely there have been acts like acts like Guns n' Roses or the Scorpions making 'Gold' in this country, but normally this had mostly been balladen or radio suitable singles. For we succeeded with such a true rocker, what 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' is for sure, makes us very happy!"
Meanwhile LORDI are breaking all records. The album 'The Arockalypse' is in the German Media Control Charts for 4 ½!!! months now and the singles 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' and 'Who`s Your Daddy' are in the Top 40 at the same time. Both songs had been performed by the band during 'The Dome', the show will be broadcast on RTL2 on September 09th, 2006.
For the Label Drakkar Entertianment in Witten (GER) LORDI are of course no pure 'success by accident'. Marketing manager Marius Kopec says: "Of course it seems the band became popular by night by winning the Eurovision Song Contest. But you have to state, that we have built up the band for years and conducted the Eurovision Song Contest with a massive promotion- and marketingcampaigne from the start. So it is no accident, that our territory GSA next to the markets of Finland and Sweden has been the most successful by far. Also the almost sold out tour in Autumn points out, that LORDI is no 'One Hit Wonder' but a strong 'Metal Act with a Pop component'!"

[Lordi - E.S.C.]
Fantastic! Monster Rock conquers Europe! If someone had told you this a year ago, you would have called him "insane". LORDI are this years winner of the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST in Athens. The European Heavy Metal community has voted more than sovereign LORDI's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" for number one! So the E.S.C. 2007 will take place in Finland. LORDI won with 292 points clearly before Dima Bilan from Russia with 248 points and Hari Mata Hari from Bosnien-Herzegowina with 229 points on position three. Texas Lightning from Germany reached position 15 with 36 points.
LORDI is the first pure heavy metal band winning the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST. The hymn "Hard Rock Hallelujah" moved the rock- and metal-fans numerously to the telephones throughout Europe. In a lot of pubs and clubs they were celebrating "I vote for LORDI"-parties. 8 times they said: Finland 12 points, inter alia from Poland, Greece and the United Kingdom - from Germany it was "only" 10, because the 12 pts went traditionally to Turkey.
Because of LORDI the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST will never be the same again. The Finnish monsterband made it's threat come true: "Bringing Back The Balls To Eurovision" has been the slogan of their campaign and most impressive they succeeded. With a performance supported bei fire and bombast the band rocked in front of more than 10.000 people in the Olympic Arena of Athens, more than 100 million people saw "Hard Rock Hallelujah" on the screen.
LORDI in deed climbed up the Olymp! :)

Nightwish's DVD "From Wishes To Eternity - Live" was sold in Germany more than 25.000 times. This means "Gold"! During the Gold-Party at Drakkar Drakkar-Chef Bogdan Kopec himself (front left on the pic) also presented a Gold-Award to Jörg Seidel (net4z). We are very pleased with this appreciation of our work during the last years! Thank you, Boggi!
